Consor Engineers

Student Intern

May 2021 • Tampa, FL

What I liked

There is so much to see on a job site and my senior inspectors were always the first to tell me when something important or new was happening, so I could get experience in every area of our work.

What I wish was different

Advice

Get ready to learn! As an intern, you cannot miss the opportunity to pick the brains of your peers. It is important to read about what you are inspecting from the specifications and standard plans, but nothing beats seasoned advice from your seniors.

What I liked

I love every aspect of this internship. I get a good mix between office and field work. They give me all tools and certifications I need to perform my job and I get to see everything in Roadway and Bridge Construction also help out with cutoffs and reports to FDOT and plan reading.

What I wish was different

Absolutely nothing. My manager is very open and very focused in my development. Consor has feedback schedule every 6 months and they talk about your performance and give you new goals. Nothing stays undecided! :)

Advice

If you want to focus on your training and development, Consor is the place. Good environment and several opportunities to learn!
