Indirect Procurement Intern

May - August 2017 • Ann Arbor, MI

What I liked

The atmosphere in the office was so comfortable and friendly. It was a HUGE difference from my last year's internship. Everyone did want to help and it was very laid back.

What I wish was different

I lost wish it wouldn't have be so laid back. They weren't very strict which was a good thing, but I almost felt they weren't very invested in my learning experience. They gave me a few main assignments, but I definitely could have handled more.

Advice

Definitely ask if you can branch out to other departments or help with other tasks. They are super open about it and it would definitely enhance your overall experience. It's definitely and internship that you have to ask for opportunities if you want them.
