Receptionist
June 2019 • Eugene, OR
What I liked
I enjoy communicating with parents, teachers, admin staff, and children every time I come to my shift. I love the warm, compassionate, supportive, and welcoming environment. Everyone there is passionate about what they do and it makes working there an even better place.
What I wish was different
There's always a demand for more workers in the education/child-care field, however, it can be difficult to make ends meet with a limited stipend from federal work-study and the low pay.
Advice
Students should apply to work here if they are passionate and love working with children. As a receptionist, having effective people skills such as effective communication, the ability to provide accurate information when asked questions, able to handle stressful situations, etc, is beneficial.

Aide 1
June 2019 • Eugene, OR
What I liked
Very friendly application process and the interviewer was professional and helpful.
What I wish was different
I wish that when they asked what age group I would like to work with, that I was more open to other groups instead of mentioning I had only worked with a certain age range before.
Advice
Do not be nervous for the interview but make sure to list off your experience and maybe share your philosophies regarding child care.
