ABOUT HOLSTON SUMMER CAMP
We offer overnight summer camp for small groups that live informally in simple cabins and participate in age-appropriate activities. Under supervision from trained staff, campers embark on a journey of mind, body, and spirit to learn about themselves, and how to relate to others and the environment in a responsible way. Kids make new friends, have fun, and learn important Christian values and traditions as they realize a greater purpose in their life.

This summer, Holston is offering 6 weeks of resident camp and 9 weeks of day camp. Prior to these camps, summer counselors (this could be you!) engage in a paid 2-week training period where they learn appropriate skills and resources to safely lead activities and mentor children. Some of our on-sight activities include: zip lines, rock-climbing on both natural rock faces and a plastic wall, swimming, bonfires, games, crafts, worship, challenge ropes course, canoeing, and more! Each week of summer camp has additional specialized activities or field-trips, such as hiking on the Appalachian Trail, spelunking at Worley's Cave, gem mining, canoeing the New River, riding the Virginia Creeper Trail, and more!

Campers are encouraged to think seriously about how we relate to others, the environment, and God. We are the dirt in which seeds of faith, charity, gratitude, and compassion are planted. We don’t preach, we engage. We don’t threaten, we question. We don’t discriminate, we include. We don’t judge, we love. We are about being positive and optimistic as we rise to meet the challenge to love our neighbor, and treat others as we would want to be treated. We walk a path toward discovery and enlightenment. We seek to embrace God’s boundless gifts and share them with all people. We believe Holston Summer Camp offers the perfect setting for youth to escape and “unplug” from the day-to-day world and be transformed in our mountain sanctuary during their time at summer camp.

Join us as we change lives and the world.
