ISEC, Inc.

Preconstruction Intern

May - September 2019 • Boerne, TX

What I liked

The work culture there was second to none, and I was given a lot of responsibility from the start and always had help available to me when I needed it.

What I wish was different

My internship experience was a learn as you go experience, there were a few days of training for the entire department for software, however having training for company policies and standards would have been welcomed.

Advice

Make the most of your internship. Don't come in every day and wait for the clock to strike five so you can go home. Participate in events, in down time, ask your coworkers what they are working out and see if they will teach you. Internships are typically temporary positions, somake sure you take advantage of every opportunity you have in those short months so your company wants to hire you back as a full time employee.
