What I wish was different
I wish more people would work here. Perhaps if there was a longer training, not just focused on the disorders and how to help them, but that also highlighted ways to help yourself through the work. In other words, if a resident asks a question for the 20th time and begins to yell at you, you need to know how to manage patience and frustration in order to adequately care for the residents. This may be your job, but it is their home so their health and happiness is always the first priority.
