The officers were helpful in engaging with the interns and helping us learn what we can from our time there. The projects that I was assigned really helped me learn about the intricacies of accreditation regarding CALEA and other aspects of law enforcement that were otherwise unknown to me.
What I wish was different
The internship would have been more different if we were more able to move around in departments.
When working as an intern, it is far more beneficial to be proactive and engaged in the job, even if you are not paid. By doing so, the supervisor there will give more responsibilities to the interns and they will in turn learn more.
