Project Engineer Intern / Scheduling Intern

May 2019 - May 2022 Cleveland, OH
“What I liked the most working at A.M. Higley was the culture, work atmosphere, and enthusiastic environment that encouraged me to work every day with a feeling of excitement. I feel that A.M. Higley truly values their employees and that they really wanted to guide me along my journey to become a Project Engineer. While working on several projects with a Project Engineer and Superintendent, I always felt that my efforts working as an intern made a significant difference to the project success and to the overall company. My coworkers offered great leadership during my introduction to Construction Management, and I enjoyed the one-on-one mentorship in the field as well as my experience working in scheduling, which also gave me a better understanding how an entire construction project unfolds. I was exposed to several different managing styles from Project Managers, Superintendents, and Project Engineers, which helped me to learn many different aspects of the construction process and how to effectively communicate with each trade. I learned to overcome barriers through collaborative and effective thinking and was able to oversee a broad range of construction projects in greater Cleveland. I'm now excited to take what I learned from my previous position as an intern and work as a full-time employee as a Project Engineer with The Albert M. Higley Company! ”
