What I liked
Great overall experience that gave me a lot of hands-on experience. I really felt like I was a part of the team and was able to contribute. Everyone was very welcoming of any new additions to the team. It’s a great way to get exposure to engineering in the Aerospace realm and product development in general.
What I wish was different
The hours for the second shift were not ideal but it gave me the opportunity to be exposed to more work so it was not too bad.
Advice
Be ready to learn quickly and make sure you make use of all the amazing advice that other more experienced workers at Valcor can give.

Supply Chain Intern

What I liked
I started off as an intern working in the Production Control Department, but had access to collaborate and interact with the various departments at Valcor. I learned about the concepts of planning and purchasing which eventually lead me to being offered a full time position as Planner/Buyer in the New Product Introduction Department. Valcor has a very diverse group of employees who have been here for various years and are willing to help you learn new things.

Advice
Don't be afraid to ask questions and ask about learning new processes. You are not limited to just interacting with your team. Learn from the Buyers, Engineers. Planners, and many other Valcor employees who have many years of knowledge in many areas of the business!

What I liked
It was a great experience to have exposure to the supply chain field firsthand, where we work closely with various different departments. You get to learn a lot while working here. I also like the culture they have where recently at least once a month they have had different events for the employees like a BBQ/Ice Cream/Waffle Wednesday.

Advice
Do not be afraid to ask questions, and gain as much exposure as you can. Enjoy it!
