WaterOne

Human Resources Intern

June - August 2020 • Lenexa, KS

What I liked

I appreciated the exposure I recieved in all of the HR disciplines. It was eye-opening to work on projects for specific HR roles and how they all intertwine with one another. This experience has helped me strengthen important skills, prepared me to work amongst a unique and versatile group, and cultivated my professional and personal growth in unimaginable ways. I also enjoyed the freedom I was given with my assignments and opportunities to challenge myself. WaterOne was extremely invested in my success and I admired the fact that they believed in me time and time again!

What I wish was different

I wish I had been giving more opportunities to branch out with our plants and connect with our colleagues more. Given the nature of the pandemic, there were limited opportunities for me to take on interactive activities. Nonetheless, I'm grateful for what I was permitted to do. My summer internship at WaterOne was a valuable experience.
