What I liked

I was able to work on several projects and greatly broaden my understanding of agriculture. This was the first time I had worked with a corporate farm, and it was good for me to compare and contrast the corporate vs small family farm approach. I met great people. It was an awesome experience and a highlight of my life.

What I wish was different

I wish the communication had been better, especially before I even started working there. I didn't hear from my supervisor regarding housing, etc. until only a couple days before I was supposed to arrive, and I would've preferred knowing more ahead of time so I could've planned better.

Advice

Go get 'em! It's easy to feel unimportant or under-qualified, but don't let that get you down. You will be amazed by your own potential if you just get down to work and go for it.

Accounting Intern

What I liked

I really liked being apart of so many different kinds of projects. The controllers were AMAZING! I received one-on-one training but I also was able to venture out and try to solve problems on my own. It was also great getting to see the many different facets of the business and seeing first hand the entire farming process.

What I wish was different

Nothing!

Advice

You don't have to be involved, or even interested, in farming to enjoy this experience!
