Security Officer

March - August 2019 • Austin, TX

What I liked

Co-workers were nice and kind.

What I wish was different

I wish my requests for a promotion were answered quickly. I had to find what I wanted somewhere else. In the end, I have said promotion now, at a loss to Allied Universal.

Advice

Regardless of how hard you try, your efforts for promotion come from networking not job performance. If you are ambitious and do not find a route towards higher pay, then you likely are on nobody's mind. I find mediocrity is far more suited for low wage security work. Once you enter level 3, more professionalism is needed but likely, this is as far as you'll go.
