What I liked

Flexible hours that are willing to work around school schedule. Excellent management who are truly caring about their employees. Opportunities for growth and upward promotions if you're interested in them.

What I wish was different

I would like a more fast paced, less monotonous job. However, this is a job that certainly works with my school schedule well.

Advice

Only go into it if you are positive the branch management is willing to work around your school schedule. It also gets tricky once you're into a degree that has less class times and is a little harder to go alongside a specific work schedule. However, if you warn them in the interview process, you're more likely to know if it is possible before it's too late.

What I liked

I liked being able to gain experience working in customer service and meeting a lot of new people. I was also taking 2 online classes through Utah State University so I worked 30 hours a week at the bank and that fit into my schedule.

What I wish was different

I was transferred to another branch soon after I started working and I wasn't expecting that. The first one was closer to my house so I could walk there easily, but the other was further away. At this time I was unable to drive and had to bike everywhere so the transportation did not fit in with my busy schedule. I wish I was able to explain to my boss how I wanted to be transferred back to the first branch but it wasn't in need of any more staff members.

Advice

If you are starting out at a new job make sure you network and get to know a lot of people there. They can give letters of recommendation for future jobs if they had good experiences with you.
