What I liked

I love my coworkers and the fact that we are one big family. Even if I wake up in the morning dreading the fact that I have to get out of the house and go in when I really just want to relax all day, the second I get there, my mood changes. It is such a fun environment to work in and there are so many opportunities to do well.

What I wish was different

Although I have learned a lot working there so far, both about the company and myself, I do wish that more of the skills I'm learning there would be applicable to my future career in a STEM field. It obviously was my choice to start working a retail job as a bio major, so I don't regret it in the slightest and I don't blame AE for not teaching me STEM skills. I just think that if I could take this same job experience and environment, and move it to my field, that would be amazing.

Advice

I would say that whenever you start somewhere new, just immerse yourself into the company and the environment. And ask a lot of questions.

I loved being able to work with fashion every day. The best part of the job was picking out items I felt the customers would like.

What I wish was different

Retail is hard to work in just because the sales floor can get crazy. There can be 40 people in your store and 4 associates, that's a lot of people to meet and great.

Go in with an open mind, I was expecting to just work there for the paycheck and now I really enjoy it!
