Advice

Work hard and you will be just fine. This job demands a lot on production days, but they are truly amazing to be apart of as long as you keep working hard with the rest of the team to pull it off!

Intern

September - December 2020 • Midvale, UT

What I liked

I loved getting the opportunity to experience working on large-scale weddings. I got a little sneak peak of all the different roles at the business. As the intern, I got to see the process of assisting with a mockup with the client and putting together a big wedding including pulling inventory, processing flowers, helping build the designs, working wedding production days, and cleaning the inventory to prepare for the next week. I was able to learn so much about luxury weddings through hands-on experience that you can't get at school.

What I wish was different

My internship took place during the beginning of COVID so most of the weddings the company normally would've had were canceled. I didn't get to work very many weddings, and the ones we did have were small scale. No fault of the company, but my experience was a little different than I had expected.

Advice

Be ready to work hard. Production days are long 10-12 hour days that you are hustling non-stop.

More design experience, not just the same thing each week
