What I liked

My summer internship with AssetMark was encouraging, rewarding, and inspiring. I am so grateful for the opportunity to have been a sales coordinator intern. I appreciate my growth both professionally and personally. It allowed me to enhance my knowledge in the financial industry, working with Salesforce and the portfolio management platform. It also provided me with an environment with a fantastic culture and supportive team. I look forward to utilizing the skills I have gained this summer in my final year at the University of Arizona!

What I wish was different

This internship is something I wouldn't change.

Advice

One piece of advice I would give to someone looking for experience or a job in the financial industry is to do an internship in the industry. It provided me with so many opportunities to learn in-depth about the business processes, the financial industry sector, and really why the company holds so much value for a financial advisor.

I enjoyed my teams ability to communicate effectively while having a sense of rapport. I also liked learning from professional traders.

I wish it could have been an in person internship instead of virtual.

Don't be afraid to reach out to your managers and co-workers. They are always willing to help out and show you the ropes.
