What I liked
I love the culture of care and respect for patients and their families at Baptist Hospital. My co-workers were friendly and helpful, and I learned a lot about patient care.
What I wish was different
I wish that I had applied for a job there sooner, I have nothing negative to say about my experience at Baptist.
Advice
Go into this job with an open mind. You will be seeing people from all walks of life, some of whom are experiencing their darkest moments. Exercise care and understand if patients seems impatient or angry with you.

What I liked
I loved learning from the staff about different medical procedures, medications, and nursing roles in the OR! I learned so much and feel like I will be a better nurse for it.
What I wish was different
Being paid more would have been nice - being paid in the $14-15 would have been ideal.
Advice
Go into the experience with no expectations and embrace the unknown. Allow yourself to learn and take time to ask questions. Every day should be a learning experience!
