Urban Cultivator Intern

What I liked

I am a biology major therefore it was a great experience to cultivate plants and food for the Kline dishes served.

What I wish was different

Maybe some better communication and a little more help throughout the job. I was trained once then I was just left alone the rest of the time.

Advice

It taught me about how organized you have to be to work a job, especially a job like this where it really matters that you time the planting and the harvesting of your plants so that they match up together.

What I liked

I've really enjoyed helping first-year students find their way and discover their path at Bard College. The Reslife team is very kind and understanding as long as you respect each other.

What I wish was different

I wish some of the events we were instructed to work had better turnouts considering we worked for six hours some days at one event. Also, some dorm buildings are rather far to walk to, so this was something we all had to get used to.

Advice

If you really want to help students who are just starting out and create a fun safe space on campus, then this position is just for you!
