I would advise to keep an open mind. When I applied for this role, I was unsure if my background was the "perfect fit" since I had never used any of the systems/programs BBC uses that were listed on the job posting. However, the team was SO welcoming and patient in fully guiding me until I felt like a pro at my job (crosstabs, digital campaign tracking, using third party research databases, making sales decks, etc.).
