Bite Squad

Delivery Driver

August - September 2018 • Bentonville, AR

What I liked

It was an easy job with very little experience needed. I consistently made more than the base pay because of tips. The hours are flexible to your needs.

What I wish was different

I want to say I wish I could get meaningful work experience, but I knew it was a very basic job. There are very few, if any, ways to move up a career ladder from here. There isn’t much problem solving on your part. The job is easy and the instructions are clear, but you don’t grow from this job.

Advice

This is a good job for making easy money, or as a second job because of the flexible hours.

What I liked

I liked that I was able to set my hours to the times that I was available, and the managers would stick to that. I was able to change my hours per week, so I could work as many hours as I wanted each week. I also liked that I was practically my own boss. We were reimbursed 10¢ for every delivery that we made since we were using our own cars. We also received a data reimbursement for using our personal cellphones. I liked that it was so flexible, and it was honestly the perfect summer job for a college student! The pay was AMAZING.

What I wish was different

I wish we were reimbursed more for using our own car. I feel that the company should be providing a larger compensation due to the amount of gas and the high prices, oil changes, tires, and general car maintenance that occurs when driving 5-8 hours a day. I also wish that the drivers received some sort of benefits when ordering food from Bite Squad.
