The Bluford Healthcare Leadership Institute is a professional development program for sophomores with an interest in healthcare, including both non-clinical and clinical.
Phase I is a two week introduction to healthcare administration held May 28 to June 12, 2019 in Kansas City, MO. Includes a $1200 stipend upon successful completion and travel reimbursement with food and lodging expenses covered.

Phase II is a 10 week paid internship in Summer 2019 in a premier healthcare environment based upon successful completion of Phase I. Internship sites have included Allscripts, America's Essential Hospitals, Atrium HealthCare, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Delta Dental, Duke University Hospital, John Hopkins All Children's Hospital, Novant Health, Polsinelli Law, Walgreens, and other premier healthcare environments.
