Our History
Boelte-Hall history of service building imageOur roots are deep in commercial printing – our growth is fertilized with innovation
Back in 1967, Ed Hall sold his interest in an ice cream novelty company and scooped up Boelte Lithography from its owner, Art Boelte, who retired a few years later. With just two employees and a handful of customers, the entire operation fit into the basement of a fellow Kansas City-based business, H&R Block. Though many things have changed throughout our history, one thing has stayed the same: Boelte-Hall’s goal of developing long-term relationships with our customers and helping them get their message out in the best way possible.
Our history is rich
In 1967, the Hall family owned an apple orchard. Delivering bushels of apples to our clients as thank you gifts helped us establish relationships with our customers. Boelte-Hall became known as the apple printer. That theme carried over to the Boelte-Hall logo and is still proudly used to this day. In 1980, Boelte-Hall took up residence in the building where we still reside. Our operations are Boelte-Hall's History - Previous Logoin-house, including the commercial sized print shop where the magic happens.
