BPM Physical Therapy was an amazing place to work. Even though I only worked here from July to September, it felt like I was there for longer. From the day I started to my last day, everyone there, including the patients and the BPM family made me feel welcome. The best part about this job was getting to know the patients as well as my co-workers. I often saw the same patients every week and got to know a lot of different people, from their stories to their upbringings. I also gained a lot of experience not only in the physical therapy aspect of how business is run and how to treat patients but also in interpersonal skills and communication skills were vastly improved.
What I wish was different
There is no criticism of this clinic, the only thing I could complain about was my drive from Beaverton to Salem every day, which totaled 10 hours of commute a week.
Advice
If you are looking for an internship or job in the medical field, try to get this one. I was grateful I got the opportunity to work for this clinic. Get to know the patients, make sure they feel comfortable, and ask a lot of questions! Everyone there has great stories and all come from different states or countries. Also, enthusiasm goes a long way, active listening and communication skills are great assets for this job.
