Breakthrough Cincinnati

About Breakthrough Cincinnati

Breakthrough Cincinnati (BTC) is a tuition-free academic enrichment program for middle school students, where undergraduate college students are given the opportunity to be trained as a teacher and lead their own classroom.

The Breakthrough Collaborative teaching residency is designed for undergraduates of all majors. Ideal candidates have a deep commitment to social justice and passion for working with middle-school students. Our teaching fellows are committed to personal growth and are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Though a demanding job, the rewards—teaching motivated and hard-working students who dream of college, working alongside the most committed and passionate college students from across the country, and receiving guidance and support from instructional coaches—are unparalleled.
