My manager and coworkers helped me really understand what my job description entailed so I understood what I was doing. They taught me different areas of the jobs that worked with mine so we could become a real team unit. Also, they had extremely flexible hours so I could finish up exams and work a second job as well.
What I wish was different
Nothing really, though housekeeping at a retirement community is not a glamorous job.
Advice
Get to know others and their roles in the team. Also, always be kind to everyone because it’s a stressful place to work.
