The entire team at Brixey & Meyer are very friendly and approachable. Management is very accommodating and offers a lot of flexibility. I really enjoy the variety of work and projects. I also love the opportunity to be included in meetings and a large variety of learning opportunities. There are many educational resources available to review during downtime. The company culture is great and it is a pleasure to be part of the team.
What I wish was different

Advice
Reach out to the team when you find yourself with downtime. Be engaged and open to any new task or project and ask lots of questions. Take the opportunity to connect with the team (not just those you are directly working with) to build relationships.

What I liked
Everyone at Brixey & Meyer has an extremely welcoming personality which has led me to return for my third internship this summer. I like to learn, so I really enjoy how everyone is willing to take the time to explain a concept or a process that I didn't know about before.
What I wish was different
Nothing, the environment here has been a really good fit for me!
Advice
Take the time to build relationships with the other staff to maximize your experience! Also every question is a good question; don't be nervous to ask questions.

What I liked
I love the culture here at Brixey & Meyer. Everyone is so nice and really pushes you to be your best. I also enjoy that the 'learning environment' is embedded into the culture, not only for interns- but for every employee. Everyone here is challenged to learn new things and there are always plenty of opportunities for growth. I also liked that the internship is individualized- they meet you where you're at and help you grow your skill set from there. Its also nice that you get to work directly with the professionals here. You aren't 'just a number' and actually get to feel like you're adding value to the firm and build personal relationships with people.
What I wish was different
Nothing, I'm really grateful for the opportunity to work along side such a talented and vibrant group of professionals.
Advice
Take advantage of getting to work so closely with experienced professionals. Don't be afraid to ask questions, or to ask people to meet for coffee/lunch. Everyone is kind and will make time for you.
