Burgundy Farm Country Day School (www.burgundyfarm.org) is an non-denominational independent school with 265 students, serving pre-K thru 8th grade, founded in 1946. In 1950, it became the first integrated school in the state of Virginia. It occupies a former dairy farm on 25 wooded acres, located only 20 minutes from downtown Washington, D.C., just outside the beltway and Old Town Alexandria and near the Huntington Metro station (Yellow Line).
