The experience that I have been able to gain from the fundraising perspective has been very helpful. Interacting with donors and being able to make new connections within the University system is something that I never thought that I would be able to do as a student.
What I wish was different
I wish that I had more opportunities to interact with other departments on campus.

Working on campus was nice because, even during the summer, I felt connected to my academics when I wasn't taking classes.
What I wish was different
I might have preferred having three longer workdays instead of five medium-short workdays so I could make more time for friends.
Advice
It really helped me be connected on campus. I know how to look up events, how to work with clubs, and I've developed a skillset that allows me to be a student leader where ever I decide to.

What I liked
I enjoyed the ability to improve my skills in designing experiments, cultivating and recording cell populations, and interpretation of collected data for the purpose of providing explanations for phenomena and designing future experiments. I also greatly appreciated the opportunity given to me, as I now feel confident that my skills in research, motivation, and passion for research can contribute towards the success of my future career.

Advice
Beginning research early in your undergraduate career allows you to both obtain some first-time experience that is necessary to gain an accurate idea of how working in that career field is actually like and gain research skills. The experience gained in research is beneficial in that it can be utilized within future college classes, jobs, or careers.
