The staff and management were super nice and all of the experience was super positive for my career goals.
What I wish was different
The time off was a bit low but it was still good.
Advice
Go do it! It’s a great job and an even better experience.

Overnight cabin counselor
June - August 2018 • Coal Creek, CO
What I liked
I loved working with kids and gaining hands on experience in so many activities I would not have been a part of otherwise.
What I wish was different
I wish that there was a system to learn everyone's pronouns in a consensual respectful way.
Advice
This experience is something I wouldn't trade for anything. I grew so much working there this summer and it was so rewarding seeing the campers there grow too. It is a 24/7 job and at times can be a bit taxing but remember no matter how tired you are, you are doing this job for the betterment of others and to spread your joy to others so it is well worth being tired for at times.
