I worked with Narrow Way Expeditions, and I loved being outside all the time. Teaching students about God through rock climbing or hiking or rappelling was really fun.

Advice
You have to be prepared to work very hard and to be on trip numerous weeks in a row. That's just the nature of guiding.

What I liked
The people! Everyone from my team to the high schoolers I worked with influenced me in so many unique and important ways this summer.
What I wish was different
I wish I had more time at camp. While eight weeks is a long time to be working 12 hour days, I wish there was more time to impact more teens.
Advice
Take time to rest. Whether you are given five minutes or two hours, take that time to be alone, take a nap, pray, or spend time reflecting.
