What I liked

The physical environment of Camp Lokanda was beautiful.

What I wish was different

The managerial staff was not attentive to lower staff needs.

Advice

Be prepared to work very hard and deal with many children. This job at camp is hard and making friends is the best part. I honestly and highly suggest choosing a different camp, there are better camps out there which will truly care about their staff and children. This one definitely does not.

What I liked

What is there not to like about Camp Lokanda? The job is so rewarding and the best type of job you can get. The summer is magic and you don't know it until you leave. The campus is gorgeous, the activities are fun and exciting, theres never a dull moment-- even on rainy days!

What I wish was different

That it was more than 2 months!!!

Advice

At any summer camp, the best advice I've received and continued to live by is "Fake it till ya make it" even when the days feel like they are too long, you're tired and you just can't see the end of the tunnel, just fake it till ya make it because your positive attitude will reflect the kids attitudes. This works in all situations at camp, just fake it till ya make it and youll make it to see the magical atmosphere of camp!
