Camp of the Cross is located on Lake Sakakawea in North Dakota and it is beautiful! There is nothing like waking up and seeing nothing but water for miles to start your day! One of the great many qualities this institution has is their flexibility with their employees. CCM appreciates all who work for them and are willing to work around busy summer schedules to give their employees the most well-rounded summer experience.

This job is so rewarding, however it is important to make sure to take time to yourself. As a counselor, you are responsible for a cabin of campers for the entire duration of the camp week and by the time they leave at the end of the week you are going to be exhausted. There is no shame in declining social invitations from your fellow co-workers to take care of yourself. Use the weekends to explore camp or read a book series. By taking care of yourself, you will perform better as a counselor and give your campers a week they will remember! :)
