The experience I had at Central Peninsula Hospital was amazing. I was able to learn the role of the director and manager of Physician Services. I was also able to shadow in every department of the hospital which provided me with knowledge of all the different aspects in a hospital and how they all connect.
What I wish was different
I wish that I was able to spend more time there than I did. I worked two part time jobs along with my internship, so it was not my only focus.
Advice
Internships allow you to make sure that you enjoy the career you are thinking about obtaining. This internship allowed me to realize that I want to obtain a nursing degree in the future because I love patient care and I want to be able to do both sides, management and clinical.
