Charles Koch Institute

About Charles Koch Institute

The Charles Koch Institute supports social entrepreneurs across society working in education, communities, business, and government. We do this by inspiring a new generation of leaders through our educational programs, supporting applied research that turns great ideas into practical solutions, and investing in projects that demonstrate new and better ways to address the major issues we face as a country.

We focus on bottom-up solutions that dynamically respond to the unique challenges individuals face, instead of one-size-fits-all, top-down strategies. We are driven by Frederick Douglass’ advice to “unite with anybody to do right and with nobody to do harm.” We strive to find common ground with anyone who shares our vision.

Koch Internship Program

June 2021 - August 2021 Arlington County, VA
“I liked how it incorporated being partnered up with a partner organization that we were interested in. Also, I appreciated the focus on personal and career development.”

Nonprofit Development

June 2019 - August 2019 Washington, DC
“The internship was two parts. With Koch, we studied Social Entrepreneurship. I was a Development Intern working for their (now former) partner at the Leadership Institute. The whole internship was great as a learning experience, both regarding content and to see how political and career life in DC functions.”
