Chelan County Public Utility District

About Chelan County Public Utility District

Located at the confluence of the Columbia and Wenatchee rivers in the geographical center of Washington State, Chelan County Public Utility District provides hydro power generation and distribution; water and wastewater services; wholesale fiber optic voice, data, and television network capabilities; and an extensive array of parks and recreation facilities.
Our electric rates are among the lowest in the nation, while our customer service standards are among the highest. With a focus on the customer, our goal is simple: safely provide utility services that enhance the economy and quality of life in Chelan County!
Rated by National Geographic as one of the top 10 mountain towns in the U.S., and by Sunset Magazine as one of the top 20 Western DREAM TOWNS, Wenatchee is a recreational paradise with an abundance of outdoor adventure. With four distinct seasons, enjoy water sports on the Wenatchee and Columbia rivers, hiking, biking, rock climbing and unlimited golfing. Downhill and cross-country skiing are just minutes away, and the area is also known for its fruit and developing wine industries.
Wenatchee is about three hours driving time or a half-hour plane ride away from Spokane and Seattle, and with more than 200 days of sunshine, we’re the best of the Pacific Northwest, without the rain!
