The staff is very caring and the internship is fairly structured. They put a lot of effort into making sure you know all about the organization. They even have you sit down and have a conversation with almost every staff member. They have a lot of connections, especially with with other similar organizations. If a student thinks they might want to go into organizing, social work, state/city-level policy work, or public service law, the staff here will be able to help you make connections.

Advice
There is a lot of flexibility in the office to get involved with different projects. Students should be clear about the kind of work they want to do.
