I loved having hands-on experience in the hospital, learning from nurses and connecting with patients and families.
What I wish was different
I wish that I had been able to do a little bit more in terms of patient care but I understand that the limitations of my role are due to my current level of training.
Advice
I would advise aspiring nurses to try out different units if possible because they experience of being on for example an ICU versus an acute care floor is vastly different and it's a good idea to start to narrow down your interests.
