My supervisor did an excellent job teaching me about the role of local government in the community. I learned a lot of encouraging things about local impact on environment.
What I wish was different
I wish I'd gotten paid, but it's local government.
Advice
I wish I would've found it earlier so I could've gotten a little funding from the school. I would also encourage our students not to write off local officials. They're important.
