What I liked

I liked being able to teach kids how to code from home. It was nice interacting with the students.

What I wish was different

I wish the company communicated more with me about the position. I was just given powerpoint slides and Udemy courses as training, but I wish I had gotten to interact more with supervisors and fellow instructors more with meetings or something like that. I was also not paid for training hours unless I worked 100+ hours. Lastly, read the contract closely before you sign because it is very restrictive. The hours are strict too.

Advice

I don't recommend this position unless you have very consistent availability and are fine with working a lot of hours online.

What I liked

It was extremely rewarding to be able to work with so many kids and teach them how to code! You can also set your own workload, so if you don't want to work too many hours, you don't have to!

What I wish was different

Sometimes, the training material they give you isn't very helpful when trying to learn new material. Some courses, the training material is meant more for the students as a supplement to your own teachings, which makes it very hard to learn on your own.

Advice

Make sure you really work hard to know the material before beginning to teach. It's so much more rewarding to teach kids without constantly being unsure of yourself!
