What I liked

I loved the opportunity to get to know the kids and to strengthen my teaching/interpersonal skills, as well as the experience of working for a not-for-profit organization. My supervisors and coworkers were all personable, passionate, and invested in me as a person as well as an employee.

What I wish was different

There are a few things about the training process that I would have done differently, but overall, I was very pleased with the way things were run within the Community Action Network.

Advice

I would advise potential applicants to go in with an open mind, both about what they expect from the job as well as how far their own abilities will take them. There is a lot to be gained from this experience, both professionally and personally, but you have to be ready for the tasks at hand by having a good attitude and confidence in your own skills.
