The Community Water Company of Green Valley is an Arizona not-for-profit corporation with members. The water utility is a regulated public service corporation that delivers water to residential and commercial customers in a southern Arizona active adult community. Its nine-member board volunteers their time to serve the community. The Company has a highly skilled staff ready to help you. Current rates are based on meter size. OUR GOVERNANCE … In 1975, the residents of Green Valley recognized the need for local control of their water resources. The community organized and by working together purchased the water utility from Arizona Water Company. In 1977, the Company began operations and today continues to be successful in its delivery of reliable water supply.
At year-end 2017 the Company served approximately 13,500 residential and commercial units; this includes apartments and homes and delivers about 2.1 million gallons of water per day.
The service area is about nine square miles, existing roughly between a mile north of Duval Mine Road, extending south to Mission Twin Buttes Road and between the Santa Cruz River to the east and the mines to the west.
The water distribution system is in excellent condition because of professional design and careful maintenance. The Company is committed to providing its customers with the best in service and seeking the highest quality drinking water. The Annual Meeting of Members takes place every April. The notice of the meeting is mailed to its members and published in the local newspaper.
