Scheduling Intern
June 2021 • Milford, MA
What I liked
I enjoyed how I was being treated like a professional and not as a college student. I was fully trained on my position, and within a few weeks, I was given assignments I was in charge of. The environment was great to work and learn in. All of my co-workers answered all of my questions and encouraged me to ask more! I really grew a lot as a professional and have social and technical skills that have helped me gain other job opportunites as well.
What I wish was different
I wish my summer could have last longer! I was offered to continue to work for the company part-time during the school year and I immediately said yes! They have been great with working around my class schedule and trusting me to complete my assignments on my own timeline. I was given a project to be the lead scheduling on and it has been awesome having the opportunity to be a real worker just as an intern.
Advice
I would share that it is okay to now know everything right when you start. I thought I had to have all of this knowledge when starting to prove that I earned this position, but every company and job is different. They expect you to come in knowing nothing and will teach you from the ground up. Everything was given to me at my own pace and I felt very comfortable learning in that environment.

My team was really supportive of my learning process. I was able to learn a lot by picking up more and more responsibilities throughout the summer.
What I wish was different

Do not be afraid to ask questions. You are not expected to know everything and asking questions is how you can learn.

Construction Project Manager Intern
May 2018 • Worcester, MA
What I liked
My favorite part of my summer was building incredible relationships with people in the field and continuing to learn how to read building plans.
What I wish was different
I wish I only worked on one project. I worked on many projects and it got very chaotic. I think I could have learned more if I was only on one construction project.
Advice
After my summer experience I would advice new students to get involved and proficient with various types of floor plans.

Business Development Intern
May - August 2018 • Milford, MA
What I liked
Everyday was different and asked me to do different things that would be used to further Consigli Construction. For a three week span, the position I interned under was actually in a transition from one outgoing employee to another employee switching departments. This three week period was tiring as i was asked to take on many of the responsibilities of the full time position, but this opportunity allowed me to showcase myself for a future job position at this company.
What I wish was different
The long commute was expected but traffic made it frustrating and difficult to deal with on a daily basis.
Advice
It's an absolutely fantastic company with many great people, and they hire about 50% of their interns to be full time employees after they graduate.
