What I liked

I loved my role as a customer support fellow. I got to work with some really incredible candidates and potential candidates running for public office. I was given a lot of autonomy and independence, and they just brought me on in July as their Associate Product Manager.

What I wish was different

I wish I had lived closer. Making the commute from Santa Clara to San Francisco 5 days a week became really draining.


If you want something, ask for it! My position was initially supposed to be 10 weeks long but I loved it so much that I didn’t want to stop working once school started. I asked if I could work remotely and part-time, and they let me. Then, they were hiring for an Associate Product Manager with more experience than I had, but I asked if I could go through the interview process and ended up getting the job.
