Daytona Tortugas

Hospitality and Group sales intern

June - August 2019 • Daytona Beach, FL

What I liked

Having the ability to network with an entire team and learn from all aspects of a minor league baseball front office was a special experience.

What I wish was different

The only thing about this experience that was in any way negative was the hours. With games often starting at 7 and fans getting to the field at 5:30 there were often twelve hour work days.

Working in minor league baseball provides a lot of opportunity to learn new things. You will be exposed to people that have a magnitude of experience and asking questions is important. Learning and networking are two of the most important things you can take away from your internship. Do not be afraid to reach out and pick someones mind because at one point they were in the same position as you.
