I really love how passionate my supervisor is about this job. Her love for the cause comes through in everything she does. The job was extremely flexible with my school schedule, as well as hours (I made my own hours each week through work at home). I also love how my supervisor and co-worker were all able to teach each other things. I have learned so much already and I have also taught them so much about social media through my personal experiences.
What I wish was different
I wish there were more "hands-on" jobs for me to do. A lot of my work is home through a computer.
Advice
One piece of advice I would give for this specific job would be to really open your heart and your mind. I have always been interested in non-profits, but homelessness was on my radar. What really helped me was being open to learn more about the subject. After increasing my knowledge and physically visiting the homeless shelter, I fell in love with the cause.
