What I liked

Every day at DiLeonardo, I got to be creative and involved. As a marketing intern, I designed media and wrote published work on design projects. This internship challenged my skillset and involved me in many important tasks on the business management end, which was very rewarding. The office environment is hardworking, collaborative, and welcoming.

What I wish was different

Advice

Let yourself be curious. Your questions could be about topics as simple as the use of a certain fabric or as complex as what the design process entails from concept planning to construction. There are so many talented and knowledgeable designers here to learn from!

What I liked

I enjoyed working hands-on with the marketing team to make a real impact on important projects. Each day was filled with different tasks that allowed me to learn new things and enhance my skillset. I also worked on a long-term project throughout the program's entirety. Everyone at DiLeonardo is welcoming and passionate about what they do which makes it a great work environment.

What I wish was different

Advice

One piece of advice I would give to future interns is to make everything a learning opportunity. Take in as much information as you can, because it is going to be such an enriching experience for your career. Go above and beyond what is asked and make the most of your time!
