What I liked

I liked talking to people about the area and getting excited with them about good places to visit around Central Oregon. Unlike working at the front desk, people were kind and curious about life in the area and more willing to be personable. It was also fun to create pamphlets and organize things, as well as have my own desk and responsibilities.

What I wish was different

I wish that more people had utilized the resource, the concierge at Eagle Crest was kinda just starting up again so a lot of people just didn't bother to use it. It also got a bit boring after a couple of months.

Advice

To be proactive and also think about opportunities that you can instigate in the workplace yourself. If there is something you think should be done differently or something new you can create, run it by a supervisor and it's likely to be encouraged. Then you feel as if you are contributing and helping the company along instead of just following instructions blindly.
