What I liked
Opportunity to work independently from a supervisor, representing high-profile role, being a true community partner
What I wish was different
We were pretty limited with overall involvement in the Marketing Department. We primarily worked out in the community at events/fundraisers and the team collectively agreed we wanted more in-office time.

If you do not want to work with the public, and strongly want an office role, this position is not for you

What I liked
You are given the chance to learn how to work independently of a supervisor among your team members. As a team, you are given so much responsibility and this teaches you a lot of tangible skills that are important for the professional world such as crisis management, event planning, time-management, and much more. Teams are also given one major project over the summer that is something you can add to your portfolio.
What I wish was different
Honestly, nothing! I had an incredibly positive experience on Team Smiley and wouldn't change anything about it!
Advice
Make sure to get enough sleep before each event! Especially those with an early start.
