Educational Resources for Children, Inc. (ERfC), has provided out‐of‐school time (OST) opportunities for Enfield, CT children in grades K‐8 and their families since 1994. ERfC is the region’s premier choice for out-of-school-time activities, ensuring that all children are provided opportunities to learn, explore interests, and develop friendships in a fun, safe, and encouraging environment.
ERfC OST Centers, all licensed with the CT Department of Early Childhood Education, illustrate the vital link between in‐school and out‐of‐school learning. This includes enhancing students’ academic skills while developing their interests and experiences in the arts and culture, science, health, fitness and nutrition, career opportunities, and community service.
ERfC is Enfield’s only provider of 21st Century Community Learning Centers all located in Enfield Public Schools. In addition to academic and enrichment activities, out-of-school time programs keep kids safe, help working families, and inspire success among youth – positively affecting their lives. ERfC currently provides financial assistance and scholarships to over 65% of the children served to ensure all children have an equal opportunity to participate in activities.
