Elevance Health (formerly Anthem, Inc.)

Business Analyst Intern

June - August 2023 • Indianapolis, IN

What I liked

I enjoyed being able to work in the headquarters. The internship offered lots of professional experience with networking events amongst workers and other interns. I also gained many new technical skills to use in my future career.

What I wish was different

I would have liked the internship to be fully in person with the project team. I enjoyed going into the office rather than working a couple days virtually.

Advice

I would say to be open to learning new skills from coworkers or the work that you complete.

I was given a lot of responsibility and was trusted to handle my own situations with little supervision.

Internal Consulting Intern

May - August 2018 • New York City, NY

What I liked

This was a wonderful position for students interested in Health Care Management or the business of the healthcare industry. The employer is a big name in the healthcare field, and they have a huge corner of the market in the US. As such there are many opportunities across the US for both internships and post-grad opportunities. I had incredible exposure to all areas of the business, and regularly met with top executives.

What I wish was different

There was not much of a formal feedback structure, nor a classic consulting-style return offer scenario.
